Floodworx – Instructions and tips

In this guide you will find all the information, technical data, dimensions and tips you need to apply and use your Floodworx!

Technical data

The Floodworx consists of a robust PVC base body that is filled with water. The valve consists of a non-return flap and a screw cap so that the water cannot escape again after filling. The Floodworx can be extended as required thanks to the connecting flap and the valve cut-out (more information to follow). The safety bead acts as a brake to prevent the Floodworx from rolling away when used on a slope (important tips on this below). The Gardena plug-in adapter for garden hoses is included in the scope of delivery and makes filling the Floodworx child’s play.

The dimensions of a single Floodworx are 122 x 23 x 15 cm (L x W x H).

Position Floodworx correctly

Pay attention to the position of the brake when using the Floodworx: If you position the barrier on a solid surface such as a door or wall, the brake should point towards the water. If the barrier is placed on a slope, the brake should point downwards. Simply use it so that the Floodworx cannot roll away.

Connect and extend as long as required

If you are using several barriers, it is best to connect and lock them together before filling them with water.

  1. Place the unfilled barriers next to each other
  2. Pull the tab of barrier 1 over the left end of barrier 2
  3. Guide the valve of barrier 2 through the sleeve hole of barrier 1

Fill barrier with water

  1. Open the shutter and the non-return flap
  2. Assemble the hose adapter and connect the garden hose
  3. Turn on the water and fill the Floodworx 3/4 full with water
  4. Turn off the water and remove the hose adapter
  5. Close the non-return flap and the screw cap
  6. The Floodworx is ready for use!

After use, open the screw cap and empty the Floodworx. When the Floodworx has dried a little, you can fold it up and store it.
